Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou is the youngest of four children born on August 9th, 1976 from Beaumont Puy de Domme. Her parents a dental surgeon and teacher recognized and supported her love of theater and acting from a young age which superseded an initial desire to be a primatologist due to her passion for monkeys. There was an immediate rise for her to become a famous young actress. After completing her studies, she was able to take part in Jeunes Premiers which is a French show on TV that is a talent-scouting initiative, which is that was sponsored by Canal+. There she was awarded the prize for the Best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors. This led her to embark on a professional career as an actor. Although she studied at the Institut Catholique de Paris and went to church as a child, Tautou has distanced herself from this upbringing, stating that she's not Catholic. The modeling and acting careers of Tautou are interspersed. Tautou was the model of L'Oreal Mont Blanc Chanel, and is known as The Chanel Muse. A keen photographer, she produced a recent exhibition during The Arles International Festival entitled Superficial. The work she produces is focused on fame as well as popularity. Also, it features a series self-portraits and a focus on journalists that have been watching Tautou's career since her dramatic success following Amelie. Audrey Tautou became a star and was recognized internationally for her debut role as Amelie Poulain from Le Fabuleux Destination d'Amelie. Amelie was a worldwide box office hit, receiving accolades at awards galas around the world. It's the highest-grossing French film to be released in the United States. After the film, she appeared in numerous films ranging from British dramas to Jean Pierre Jeunet's Un long dimanche de fiancailles. Then she moved into Hollywood and appeared alongside Tom Hanks alongside Ron Howard in The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown.
