Linda Hamilton was an American actress, best known for her role as Sarah Connor in The Terminator as well as it's sequel Terminator 2 : Judgment Day. In the show Beauty and the Beast, she was the character Catherine Chandler. Due to her powerful voice she often plays strong characters who are subjected to many challenges and misfortunes before emerging victorious. She's considered to be to be one of the first female heroes in Hollywood and earned the name 'Body' of the Nineties' due to her muscular body. Born in Salisbury, Maryland to an ordinary Anglo-Saxon family. As a child, she grew up within New York City she studied acting and went to workshops with the director Lee Strasberg. Her career began as an actress in television but later moved to movies. She made her breakthrough in 1984 when she landed the role she performed in "The Terminator' as Sarah Connor. Then, she starred in several TV series and film roles. In an interview with a talk-show host, she admitted to having suffered from Bipolar Disorder which led to the divorce of her former spouse Bruce Abbot. Later, she married filmmaker James Cameron but her second marriage also failed.

Bennett has also been seen in TV movies Outlaw Country and Things People Do. She has upcoming roles in Random, The Equalizer and The White City. The projects she is working on include those from Terrence Malick and Warren Beatty.
